In May, Tan Cang- Cat Lai accommodated 236vessels (including 196 container vessels and 40 transshipment vessels) – a decrease of 5 vessels to those of April. Terminal A received 106 tvessels and Terminal B received 130 Vessels. The throughput of container of May was 215,142 teus. Net productivity reached 53.2 cont/vh and Portstay one was 45.6 cont/vh. The Maximum net and portstay productivity was 86.2 cont/vh and 81.7cont/vh respectively (those reached with Vessel Ever Power V.96 B).

On 19th May 2010, the delegates of the 8th Asean Port & Shipping Conference have a visit to Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) and a port tour at Cat Lai terminal. The deledation was deeply impressed with the market share and the volume increase of SNP in 2009

On  4TH April 2010,  the sixth honour  and award celebration for typical entrepreneurs was successfully held in Hanoi Theatre by Vietnam Economy Times and Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Trade & Industry).
120 entrepreneurs were elected to receive the award “ Excellent brand of 2009”. Saigon Newport Corporation ( SNP)  was  prominent to be in the top twenty list of “VIETNAM EXCELLENT BRAND 2009”  through proving its leading brand in th Vietnam Seaport system.

In the morning of April 26th 2010, the representatives of Saigon Newport Corporation and Samtra Company (the Vietnamese agent for Grand China Shipping) came on board of Lantau Arrow to welcome the maiden voyage of Grand China at Cat Lai port
