In May, Tan Cang- Cat Lai accommodated 236vessels (including 196 container vessels and 40 transshipment vessels) – a decrease of 5 vessels to those of April. Terminal A received 106 tvessels and Terminal B received 130 Vessels. The throughput of container of May was 215,142 teus. Net productivity reached 53.2 cont/vh and Portstay one was 45.6 cont/vh. The Maximum net and portstay productivity was 86.2 cont/vh and 81.7cont/vh respectively (those reached with Vessel Ever Power V.96 B).
The transportation of containers between Cat Lai and Cai Mep as well as other ICDs was improved sharply through the berthing window priorities given to the barges at the berths and the direct transportation of cargo to the CFSs, to TCCT and empty transportation to Long Binh, the transportation of the long staying containers ( more than 20 days) from Cat Lai to Tan Cang to reduce the CY pressure at Tan Cang- Cat Lai. SNP has continued the good deployment of the co-operation regulations between the company and the Customs of Saigon Zone 1 as per the minutes signed by both sides especially in term of issuing the formalities of container transportation to the customs X-ray machines for the inspection and make the arrangement for the customs inspection focussed point. The service qualities have been improved as per the content of the 7 groups for “Enhancement of Service Quality in SNP” of 2010 (services relating to reefer and empty containers, the settlement with the customers’ complaint as per the new regulation, reduction of the receipt/ delivery time, speeding up the post- terminal transportation and make good arrangement of the vehicles and equipment serving the handling activities) and the EDI with the shipping lines has also been smooth.
