With 75 m berth for up-to-2,000 DWT vessel, 90 m berth for up-to-1,000 DWT barge, 1.1 hectares CY, under the management of Tan Cang Waterway Transport JSC – a subsidiary of SNP, Tan Cang – Thot Not terminal will be Tan Cang – Thot Not terminal will be the place for collecting, stuffing cargo, such as rice, seafood, animal feed… in Can Tho city and neighboring area like An Giang, Kien Giang, Dong Thap…; for full-package logistics services connecting the Mekong Delta, Hochiminh City and Cai Mep area, as well as connecting to Cambodia via SNP’s barging service.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rear admiral Nguyen Dang Nghiem – President of SNP – emphasized that “in 2015, volume throughput of SNP is estimated at 5.34 mil teu (equivalent to 71 mil tons), accounted for 85% market share of the South and 50% nationwide. SNP revenue reached nearly 15,000 bil VND, 18.2% increase compared to 2014. With strategies to extend market at focal economic areas, SNP has deployed many solutions to develop, manage and operate terminal network in the Mekong Delta, especially in Can Tho city – the economic center of Mekong Delta, the connecting point of domestic and international transport. Today, the opening of Tan Cang – Thot Not terminal marks the birth of an important point in the connection of 7 Tan Cang units in the Southwestern region.
In this event, Rear admiral Nguyen Dang Nghiem – President of SNP – also thanked all customers, partners, local authorities for supporting and cooperating with SNP to develop local port operation and logistics services.
Representatives of customers and local authorities appreciated SNP’s contribution to local economic growth, especially in port and logistics. They believe that SNP – as the top port operator – will effectively operate Tan Cang – Thot Not terminal, and together with Tan Cang – Cai Cui terminal, Tan Cang – Tra Noc terminal and other logistics facilities in the Mekong Delta, it will form a complete network connecting Can Tho city to other focal economic zones.
