In August, Tan Cang- Cat Lai accommodated 267 vessels (including 211 container vessels and 44 transshipment vessels) – an increase of 16 vessels to those of July. Terminal A received 118 vessels and Terminal B received 149 Vessels. The throughput of container of August was 231.740 teus. Net productivity reached 54 cont/vh and Portstay one was 46.7cont/vh. The Maximum net and portstay productivity was 84.2cont/vh and 69.7cont/vh respectively (those reached with Vessel Uni-Ahead- V.284S). The average of truck around time inside the terminal in August was 60 minutes/cont.
In August, Cat Lai terminal continues its 7 groups of solutions for the service quality enhancement. The Container Yard of terminal B is under the upgrading process and shall be completed in the peak season in the last months of this years. The formalities of handling the OOG containers has also been innovated, the vehicles and equipment have been checked and surveyed in term of the quantity and quality for the replacement or further investment in case of need, the terminal has also continued its cooperation agreement with the shipping lines for the deployment of the operation services and made the adjustment and addition to the regulations of safety. The close co-operation of the terminal and the customs in re-putting the X-ray inspection machines into operation as well as in the implementation of the cargo inspection at the seaport according to the Guidance No 9269 has made the innitial effectiveness. In the coming time, the camera shall be installed at the inspection division of Customs in Cat Lai. The TOPX club was established and its regular activities helps the members to share the information and experiences so as to optimize the functionalities of the system.
