In April, 2011, throughput of import/export cargo in Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD has increased stably. In comparison to the previous month, the total warehouse output grew up to 53%, in which domestic warehouse was 23% and volume of Bonded warehouse was 30% .
To meet the increasing demand of the export season, big customers at Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD has been extending the leasing space. Up to now, warehouse usage reaches 99%. It is a remarkable and efficient business results for an ICD after only for two years of operations. Customers who want to expand their renting space include Pacorini, Sagawa, Global Home, Dragon Logistics and OIA. Warehousing services in Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD has also been attracting the attention of Hitachi Transport System (Asia), ITL Keppel Logstics, Mitsubishi Logistics. Besides, Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD is providing and increasing its Logistics services. Currently, Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD is establishing a joint venture with SAS Vung Ang Logistics Co., Ltd to provide forwarding and logistics service for Formosa project in Ky Anh Commune, Ha Tinh Province.
The most remarkable activities of the month is the import and export of coffee beans by Pacorini - one of the biggest customers of Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD with an average volume of 1,000 containers per month. These are the peak month for the export of coffee and is also considered as a first step in marking the serving capacity of ICD Long Binh in this time.
To meet the increasing demand for warehouse leasing, ICD Long Binh intends to complete the construction of two new warehouses in this year. The new warehouses are similar to the others in the system in the master plan. Besides, the ICD shall continue improving the quality service, competitive advantages in order to bring the absolute trust in using the services of Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD.
