Strategically located at the intersection of Southern part of HCM City and East Sea, connected to new ring roads and numerous Industrial Parks, Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc Terminal will be the consolidating point for cargoes from Mekong Delta and other IPs in the South of HCM City. Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc Terminal can receive up-to-50,000 DWT vessels and in the future it can be developed into a transshipment port (after the dredging is completed, the channel depth will be -13.4m, being able to receive larger vessels), in sync with international trend in port development and modern sea transportation
With total investment of over 1,100 bil VND in first phase, Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc Terminal currently has 300m berth for vessels and 253m for barges, over 12 hectares CY, complete infrastructure, modern equipment and synchronized SNP management system. The second phase of Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc Terminal is under construction, with 350 bil VND investment, the terminal will have an addition of 120m of berth, over 17 hectares CY and 8,500 sqm warehouses.
Operation at Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc Terminal
In the future, together with government’s plan to remove ports from HCMC urban area and plan to remove operation from Tan Cang area, Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc Terminal will become the main stuffing area of Saigon Newport Corporation. Located at the confluence, Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc Terminal can take advantage to optimize CY and barge berth design for consolidating agricultural products from Mekong Delta. For now, the stuffing services of Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc Terminal is receiving much support and trust from customers.
