In the port and ICD system of Saigon Newport Corporation, Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD JSC is considered as the largest ICD with the total project area of 300 hectares. Within more than 2 years operating, the company has operated efficiently 06 warehouses with 18,000 sqm/each. All of the warehouses are well-equipped with the most modern equipment, which creates convenience and efficiency in transaction. The requirement of fire prevention and fire fighting, CCTV system are installed to support for security and safety within port and creates convenience to Long Binh Tan Customs Sub-Department , Dong Nai Province in managing the inbound and outbound of cargo.
For arising demand for high quality and specialized warehouse, the company has been building up the new warehouse in compliance with the master plan of 15 warehouses. The warehouse will be operated in January, 2012 with the capacity up to more than 31,000 pallets. Like others, the warehouse will be diversified in different functions such as CFS warehouse, bonded warehouse and distribution warehouse.
In addition to the warehousing services, Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD is driving our expansion on the logistics related services like freight forwarding, transporting, e-customs clearance, distribution center, packing/repacking, fumigation service aiming at providing door- to -door service in competitive prices to the clients.
In October, the total throughput reached over 60,000 tons, 30 per cent of which from non-bonded warehouse with the majority of the increase from the consumer goods such as diary, confectionery, electricity products, coffee bean, plastic polywood; the throughput of bonded warehouse reached 70 per cent, mainly coffee bean, metal, stationery, furniture and shoes material. The productivity is approximately 99 per cent.
