In November, Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD maintained the good growth speed, improved the quality service aiming at the action plan of the Customer Year – 2011 of Saigon Newport Corporation.
In the situation of fierce competition in providing high quality logistics services, competitive price as well as offering attractive promotion to clients, Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD has been improving quality services in the daily operation activities. The professional knowledge and skills of the ICD staffs have been enhanced through the logistics training courses. The quality management procedures has been unified targeted at building ISO 9001:2008 next year.
Regarding business operations, in November, total warehouse throughput increased 13,17% compared to those of Oct. In which, total throughput in general warehouse increased by 19,02%, 13,45% in CFS and 2.82% in bonded warehouse.
Currently, 5 warehouses have been operational with the occupancy capacity of more than 90%. The total leasing space in bonded warehouse has made up 2/3 of the total area. The warehouse has been in an excellent condition, ensuring the good service quality & safety for the cargo receipt/ delivery & storage.
The performance of the inspection area was well-done. The total number of inspected cargoes increased by 27,68% in comparison with the quantity of Oct. To meet the increasing demand of the customers for weighing the import and export containers, Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD will install an 80–ton weighing bridge at its entrance.
With respect to the construction projects, in November, brand-new furniture showroom was established. The 1,000 sqm showroom is designed and decorated with European style, displaying high-end and eye-catching furniture. The owner of showroom is Global Home, European furniture company.
The 20-hectare agricultural warehouse in phase II of project at Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD is under the leveling phase. This is one of the largest agricultural warehouses in the locality.
The warehouse No.9 is under the construction. With total area of 18,000 sqm, the warehouse shall be completed in the mid of March 2011.
In line with target of developing Long Binh as technical service zone, one filling station is being set up to meet the petrol filling demand of various clients, not only for trucking companies but also for other types of customers.
