BUSINESS OPERATIONS AT TCIT IN MAY, 2011 (15/06/2011)

In May 2011, business operations at Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) increased stably. The total throughput grew by 23,84%, including 15,25% in export, 43,18% in import, as compared in April. These figures indicate positive performance of TCIT at its early 5-month phase of operations.

In May 2011, business operations at Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) increased stably. The total throughput grew by 23,84%, including 15,25% in export, 43,18% in import, as compared in April. These figures indicate positive performance of TCIT at its early 5-month phase of operations.
There has been now 6 calls per week, an increase of approximately 15% compared to the previous month. On this basis, TCIT now receives 05 mother vessels from 03 out of 04 shipping lines from CKYH Alliance including: COSCO, YANGMING and HANJIN together with MOL deploying 05 direct services to US and Europe including: NE5 – SJX – AW5 (of CKYH Alliance), PSX – JEX (MOL).
TCIT commits to enhance service quality and port competitiveness in Thi Vai – Cai Mep area.
