During week 44 Cat Lai port handled 45 vessels, a decrease of 1 vessels in comparison with the previous week. The average berth-stay time was 18.1 h/vessel and departing-waiting time was 1.5 h/vessel (increased 0.1 h/vessel). Net productivity was 50.2 cont/vessel/h and Port stay Productivity was 44.2 cont/h/vessel. The maximum productivity was 64.6 cont/vessel/h when handle Vessel EXCELLENCE / APL - V: 640. Thus, in the week, the vessel releasing productivity (both Net and Port stay) of Cat Lai Port decreased comparing with the previous week (Net decreased 2.1 and 2.1 for Port stay), in which the productivity of Terminal A stayed the same with the week before and both Net and Port stay productivities decreased due to the periodic maintenance of berth equipment and the shifting of 2 vessels.
- Several vessels, completing handling in a relatively short time, were compelled to wait for high tide for unberthing, which resulted in a minor drop in Port stay productivity
- The inbound container occupancy and yard delivering/receiving volume during the week were large strongly affected yard operating process
- The combination of barging releasing operations were good, especially in the inbound/outbound container transportation between Cai Mep terminal and Cat Lai Port, which fulfilled the given plan.
