Cat Lai port, during week 40, handled 34 vessels, a decrease of 4 vessels in comparision with the previous week. The average berth-wating time was 3.1 h/vessel and departure-waiting time was 1.59 h/vessel. The Net productivity was 47.5cont/vessel.h and Portstay Productivity was 40.3cont/vessel.hour. The maximum productivity of 63.9cont/vessel.h was achieved when handling Vessel SAN LORENZO_V:869/870. Thus, both Portstay productivity and Net productivity were increased compared with last week, Portstay productivity increased by 3.2 cont/vessel.h, as a consequence of less pressure on reefer CY, good availability of container yard, especially, better skills and experience of planners obtained as the handling of all vessels at Cat lai Port started to be fully managed by TOPX.
In the week, many reefer containers had been moved to Newport’ CY and A Chau depot, which resulted in the relief and reduction of occupancy on reefer container yard from 83.7% to 75.9%
