Tan Cang-Long Binh ICD Custom Clearance Point was established on July 27, 2009 pursuant to the Decision No: 1794/QĐ9-BTC of Ministry of Finance and located at Long Binh ward, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province. Foreseeing the potentials, Saigon Newport had decided to invest on the construction of the 80-ha Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD with total investment capital of about USD 60 million. Thanks to its preferential location adjacent to many big industrial zones and strong connection to the National Road No. 1 and National Road No. 51, the ICD is deemed an important logistics center and linkage between Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal and Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal in order to meet the export-import needs of clients in Dong Nai province as well as of those in neighboring provinces such as: Binh Duong and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces by providing logistic service, especially, since the deep seaport system in Caimep had been put into operation.
Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD is now operational and shall become an important logistics infrastructure to provide strong support for terminal operations at Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal and Tan Cang – Cai Mep Terminals. It shall not only provide container yard and warehousing services and carry out supporting businesses relating to logistics, supply chain, but also become a big clearance point for imports-exports of Dong Nai Province. Moreover, with the present and forthcoming land assigned by the Ministry of Defense, Saigon Newport can expand its business activities such as food processing, package assembly line, civil services like Vocational Training Centre, offices for lease, etc.
