In July, warehouse throughput reaches 500,000 tons, in which domestic warehouse held 88 % mostly textile materials and bonded warehouse held the rest 12% mostly coffee.
With the total area of 100,000 sqm, Tan Cang - Long Binh ICD continues marking the impressive growth of 99.25 %. New types of cargoes in warehouse are mostly FMCG, furniture and materials for export.
The 7th warehouse with area of 18,000 sqm in Phase I is being completed its foundation frame and going to open at the end of this year. At the same time, the agriculture warehouse system with total area of 126,000 sqm in Phase II has been already completed 5 warehouses with 66,800 sqm. The agriculture warehouse system will be complete at the end of 2012 including 10 warehouses for agricultural products such as coffee bean, cassava, wheat flour, rice, and pepper, etc.
In July, Tan Cang - Long Binh ICD started to provide the fumigation service for outbound cargoes, especially those to Australia, which has strict regulations on goods imported into the market. With preferential policies, container yard in very good condition, convenient location, adjacent to industrial zone in Dong Nai Province, the opening of Fumigation Center is highly feasible. It helps enterprises in area not only to save cost, but also to be convenient in receiving certificate of fumigation inspection.
