The year 2013 has seen many important events of Saigon Newport Corporation. On November 2013, Tan Cang Waterway Transport Company started its operation at My Thoi Port (An Giang province) and Tra Noc port (Can Tho city). Those events showed the determination of Saigon Newport Corporation in obtaining a complete logistics network, providing full-package services to facilitate customers in transporting goods at the company’s premises.
The year 2013 starts with many challenges to the Corporation, as Shipping Lines continues to face oversupply condition, and many key exporting goods, such as rice, coffee, tapioca,… decrease tremendously. With the motto “Sustaining implicit trust”, Saigon Newport Corporation has applied many solutions to improve service quality as well as favorable policies to shipping lines to ensure that the customers will enjoy the best services at the most competitive prices. With quality services and flexible policies, Saigon Newport Corporation has attracted more services from shipping lines and has been trusted and chosen by many customers as the port of choice.
The results is quite outstanding. The throughput volume in Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal in November has increased 11,5.%. In 2012, Tan Cang – Cat Lai’s market share was 83% of Ho Chi Minh City container import – export throughput, and in 2013, its market share rises to 85%. The growth in both throughput volume and market share is the result of the right strategies from the Communist Party Committee, Board of Directors as well as the will and determination of the employees in the affirmation and development of the corporation’s brand name and reputation as the leading container operator in Vietnam.
