On September15th 2008, the campaign “Saigon Newport says “no” to the unethical behaviours: harassments, tip -claiming and tip -taking” was officially launched by the General Director of SNP. The measures to deal with the violated cases have also clearly stated in the Regulation

The reefer CY occupancy was 112.2% - a higher occupancy than the previous week’s due to the big amount of the inbound reefer containers and the outbound reefer containers concentrated to the port at the weekend for loading onto the Maersk Lines’s vessel

Last week, the loading onto 7 vessels at Cat Lai Port included 3 at Terminal A and 4 at Terminal B have been managed by TOPX program.

On September 5th 2008, the Deputy Minister of Transport- Mr. Tran Doan Tho and the mission of the representatives of Ministry of transport (M.O.T), the Governmental Office, Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Customs General Department, VCCI and Vinamarine called at SNP

There are four main subjects presented in the meeting: the actual operational situation three months after the implementation of the measures concluded in the previous Meeting, the efficiencies of TOPX in increasing the handling productivity, shortening the vessel port-stay and the delivery/ receipt time inside the port

In the recent time, the application of TOPX to the discharging activities at Terminal A and to some voyages at Terminal B has brought the significant efficiencies to the handling productivity

In the moring of August 6th 2008, more than 200 participants representing the Operation Centre and the departments, enterprises being in charge of the TOPX deployment and implementation were present at the conference.  It has been reported that TOPX has made a considerable contribution to enhancing the service quality at Cat Lai port as well as at the other premises of SNP

In the morning of August 11, 2008, the National Assembly Delegation headed by its Vice Chairman , Mr. Uong Chu Luu – member of the Party Central Committee paid a call on Cat Lai port during his schedule to work with the Ho Chi Minh city customs department

On April 30th 2008, Mr. Sean T. Connaughton, the USA Maritime Administrator led the Delegation of USA Maritime Administration, APL and NIKE Vietnam to Cat Lai port.

In the week 30, Cat Lai port has seen more effectiveness of the receipt/ delivery activities and handling productivity in comparing to those of the week 29. Cat Lai stevedored 32 vessels. The average berth productivity in the week was 40.5 moves/vessel hour.
